Do you also find it weird describing yourself in three words? I mean, I can tell you that I love good stories, tacos, and traveling the world. But does that really tell you anything about me?
What if I told you that I was hooked on stories at the age of four when I was still living in Moscow. My grandfather used to leave notes for me, describing where I can find a treasure. Oh, this excitement of adventure! Only created by words on a piece of paper. It was like magic. Or I can describe to you the very first time I ate an authentic taco on a road trip in the US. It tasted like a new favorite song you cannot get out of your head. (Unfortunately, being based in Munich means there are no taco trucks that can help with the urge to listen to it over and over again.) And frankly, this About Me has not enough space to share all the horizon-broadening moments I had while traveling. Just that they come particularly handy if you are a writer and your job is to create other horizons than solely your own.
Apart from writing, I am the CEO and co-founder of Fictionic. A start-up that creates and publishes interactive stories, games, and experiences.
An interactive story is not a linear novel. Instead, your choices shape the story and the fate of the protagonist. Every path you choose will take you to an entirely different ending.
As Fictionic we create Storyways, a platform for interactive books. The app is currently under development and will be available for Android and iOS. It will contain two interactive stories that I am working on.
Release date is coming soon!
At first, when I was invited to friends to play this game, I was a little skeptical. When I got the script with my role a few days before, the fun started - slipping into someone else's character. Then the game started and it was great! The discussions and questions about finding the culprit were very exciting and funny! The evening was very successful! Hilarious game for young and old!
Very entertaining and thrilling - the story contains many unexpected twists and well-developed versatile characters so that the fun is pre-programmed.
Wow, what a great game! We had such a lovely evening! Almost three hours of fun and entertainment. I played it with my family. Everybody could join in, guess, slip into their roles, and thanks to the separate textbooks, even the host did not know the murderer! Everything was great, I would give even more stars, and hope that the author will create more murder mystery dinners! Thanks a lot!
